In Love with a Vampire!

Well, I put off reading the Twilight books long enough. I finished all 7 Harry Potter's and decided that it was time to read a romance. I started Twilight last Thursday night and I finished the second one this morning. I got through them so quickly, not only because they are fabulous, but due to the constant snow and cold we are receiving. Also, I have a very upset stomach today.
Anyway, the library doesn't have any copies of Eclipse in and I want to get started on it, so if you've got it, let me know!~!!!!! I can't wait to get started. I'm very anxious to know how the story ends.
I have to admit that I love Edward. What a sweetheart. But I'm not pining because my Dave is even better! And I don't have to become a vampire to be with him for eternity!

Things I hate.....

I don't hate many things, (I'm a lover, not a hater!), but here are the things I do hate:

*JANUARY! It is such a let down month after the last three with great holidays! It is always so darn cold that we are confined to the house! We are always sick! Three of us went to the doctor last week!

*DIAPERS! Especially diapers on bums that are almost four years old! I've decided to remedy this a little and start with Aspen AGAIN next week on the potty training. Hopefully 4 days will do the trick. If not, she'll have to have a pull up during preschool hours and we will immediately resume afterwards.

*POOP! Poor Connor. Poor Us. He's been on laxatives for a year, but the kid still is afraid to push out a poo. So, we end up changing diapers all day that have a little smear in them because he holds it in. Any suggestions on how to remedy this would be great! At their 4 year check up, I am going to insist that the doctors do something. Can't stand it much longer!

That's all folks! Not too bad. Like I said, I'm a lover, not a hater!

Fun and Games

The two things that our kids just love to do is to slide down the stairs in their pajamas and pull off all the couch cushions and play with them. Who needs toys when you've got built in games in the house!

Get Mad or Laugh?

With 3 three year olds, I get easily frustrated. (Which is something I work on every day!) Sometimes I wonder if I should have laughed instead of getting angry. This morning was the perfect example. Dave didn't get home until 1:00 am last night and I had a hard time sleeping due to a cough. We heard the kids wake up around 6:30 and told them to play in their rooms or watch the Disney Channel downstairs so we could get a little more rest. I finally got up about 8:15 and went downstairs to get the kids breakfast. I walk into the kitchen and all 3 kids are huddled around a kitchen chair where there is a dumped out bottle of red sugar sprinkles. Their hands and faces are red from eating it and there were sprinkles everywhere! I didn't yell, but I firmly told them that what they did was wrong and proceeded to wash them off. As I was washing off Connor's face, I wished that I would have laughed instead of talking sternly and taken a picture! It was so funny! I guess this is my life lesson for today. I am going to start laughing more at the funny things my kids do instead of getting angry.

Firsts

This has been a week of firsts for the kids. They all went to Primary for the first time last Sunday. They are in the Sunbeam class. They were so good and cute as they sat in the little chairs and we picked them up wearing crowns that said, "I am a child of God." I must say that I was little sad. My babies are growing up!
The other first this week, was that Connor went to the dentist today and had to have his first cavities filled. He was a little scared as they laid the chair back, but as soon as they got the gas on him, he was quite relaxed. (This picture is of him with the gas on. I know, I'm weird.) The cavities were all little so he didn't have to get numb and they fixed all of them. He was so good! He never cried once and he got to pick out two prizes for being so good!

New Year's Party 2007-2008!

Wow! That was quite a bash we had at our place last night. It was so much fun! The Bennetts, Stewarts, Hacketts, Monfredis, and the Wards all made it. We had tons of food, played lots of games (including the favorite Guitar Hero), drank lots of beer (and when I say beer it's Martinelli's and soda), and had a great time. The McIntyres even gave us a fireworks display at midnight! Merri conducted us all on handbells and we played Auld Lang Syne. Like I said, it was great! We might even have to do it again next year! Happy New Year's everyone! Make this year a fantastic one!
