New Year's Eve Party!!

Just so everyone knows, we are having a New Year's Party tomorrow night at our house. It starts at 8:00pm and goes until who knows when. I tried to get invitations out to everyone before Christmas, but it was so crazy that I know I missed a few of you by accident. (Chipmans and Reimschiissels!) You are all invited if you live close enough and can make it! It is also a no kids party, so even if you can only get away for an hour swing on by for some food, games, dancing, Wii, and fun! Can't wait to see you all tomorrow!

Blow Ball!

This is a great game that my in-laws play. The first time I played it, I almost peed my panties I was laughing so hard! We sit around their round table, put a ping-pong ball in the middle, and we all blow it around the table. The object of the game is to keep the ball from rolling off the table just by blowing, no hands! What a crazy, nutty, game! But we love it. Here are some pictures of the blowhards in our family. (Fortunately, the camera battery died before Dave got a picture of me!)

Ava Stites

I finally got to meet my new niece that shares my birthday. Her name is Ava and she is just the sweetest, cutest baby that you'll ever meet. We all just love her so much.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas Day. We came home on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas morning at our house. We had to wake the kids up at 7:45! What kids actually sleep on Christmas Eve? I know that I don't. Christmas morning was great and I think the kids all got what they wanted. We drove back up to Centerville and opened presents at Grandparent's homes and then we had Christmas dinner with my family. We spent the rest of the day at the Burrahm's. It's been a fabulous Christmas vacation and I'm not ready for life to start back up again yet.

Christmas Eve!

We spent most of Christmas Eve at the Grant's house cooking for the Grant Family Bake Off! It was so fun and the dinner was awesome! We also acted out the Nativity. The kids and I were wisemen. (Well, the girls said "princesses." When are they not princesses lately?) The kids loved when Grandpa Burrahm prentended to bring the Santa doll to life. They had a ball.

Christmas Work Party 2007!

Omniture's annual Christmas Party was on December 8 in the Grand America Hotel. It's so fancy. My favorite part is the hors duerves (spelling?) that the waiters bring around while you are mingling. I feel like I'm famous! The dinner was great but the band was the best! We had a great time dancing and getting our groove on. The prizes weren't that great this year, so I didn't care so much that we didn't win anything. It was a fun party and I really can't wait until next year! (And I must say, that getting all fancy like I'm going to prom again is really a blast!)

Santa Claus

This is the first year that the kids have been to see Santa. He was at Dave's parent's ward's Christmas party. They were all very excited until they actually got up to him. They did all sit on his lap and nobody cried, but they didn't want to talk. Oh well. Maybe next year. And the family picture is the one that we sent out with Christmas cards this year.

Birthday Fun!

I did so much for my birthday and had a great time. On Wednesday, we went out to eat at PF Changs with our friends Brian and Rebekah South. On Thursday, some friends came over for dinner and cake and ice cream. We ended up having leg wrestling matches. It was so fun! On Saturday, we had a party in Centerville with our family. It was a great birthday and for the first time ever, I CAN wait until the next one!

29 years old!

I can't believe this day has finally come! I am the age I will be for the rest of my life because darn it, I'm not getting any older! This is the last year that I will actually be excited about my birthday and even now there is not too much of that. I have had a wonderful life and I am so blessed. My friend Keri inspired me to do this, so here are 29 things about me:

1. I was born and raised in Oklahoma!
2. I lived in Laredo, Texas for 11 months of my life. First grade.
3. I am the 5th of 7 children.
4. I am a very sensitive girl. When I was little I cried all the time. I cried when Mogley went back to the man village in Jungle Book, I cried when Frosty melted, and I cried when the Miss America pageant was over!
5. I used to be a cheerleader for 1 year. I would have done more, but my surgery prevented it. I have always loved cheering though.
6. I have metal rods on either side of my spine due to scoliosis. I had surgery two months after I turned 15. And I was out of school for 2 months!
7. I have been boy crazy for as long as I can remember. My boyfriend in Kindergarten was Josh and I've had many more since him. Dave is really something special because I settled down for him! Now Brooke is following in my footsteps. She is only 3 and already says that she has a boyfriend!
8. I love both my parents dearly, but I am a Daddy's girl through and through.
9. When I was little, I was very girly! I wanted to wear a dress to school every day.
10. Even though I wore dresses all the time, it didn't stop me from climbing trees. I loved to climb trees.
11. My family would often go out on my birthday and get a Christmas tree. And since it was my birthday, I usually got to pick it out. It was always big and full! (I can't imagine putting my tree up that late now!)
12. I may not have been perfect in high school, but I NEVER snuck out of my house!
13. I DID moon some friends once though!!!
14. Everyone knows that I sing, but I also play the clarinet! I took band for 4 years!
15. I performed in musicals in Woodward since I was 6! My first play ever was the King and I.
16. My Senior year, I won an award for my role in Lil' Abner where I played Mammy Yokum.
17. I had my own radio show my Senior year of high school. It was called "Inside Out."
18. I was in a pageant my Jr. year, and I took 2nd runner up!
19. Today, on my birthday, I have a new niece being born. I am going to be her favorite aunt!!!!
20. I met Dave my freshman year of college and, believe it or not, I knew right away that he was the one I wanted to marry. We were only "together" about 3 weeks before he left on his mission and I was still around when he got back. So, 10 months later, we were married.
21. My sister Kim and I are pretty close, but when we were younger, I used to always try and get her into trouble. She threw something at me once, and I started crying and yelling for my mom. Then Kim told me that it didn't even hit me and I said, "Oh, I thought it did."
22. I was also not so nice to my little sister Annie. I wasn't mean in an obvious way though. I liked to play games with her. Like, "Push off the Couch" where we tried to push each other off, but being 6 years older, I always won. The other game was "Press the Bruises." This was a fun one. I would find all of Annie's bruises and push them as hard as I could. I told her if it hurt, then they were getting better.
23. My best friend Rhiannon and I used to always play "B's" even in 6th and 7th grade when we were way too old. We said that we'd never tell what the "B's" were so take your best guess everyone.
24. I didn't know any of my roommates when I came out here to BYU. Thankfully they were all wonderful and I still keep in contact with all of them! Love you Camie, Annie, Lauralee, Amber, and Melanie! You guys are awesome!
25. I had 2 miscarriages before I was blessed with my beautiful triplets! I guess they all just wanted to come together.
26. I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, but for one semester in college I thought about interior design. Glad I didn't go down that road, because I would not have been any good.
27. I love to play tennis. I am probably not very good anymore since I don't play often enough, but I still love it.
28. My favorite sport to watch is football. I guess that comes from growing up in Oklahoma. I could watch football all day.
29. Finally, I love my family! The Burrahms, the Grants, Dave, and my babies. They are all so wonderful to me and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I wouldn't trade my life with anyone. Thanks Mom and Dad for raising me and making me the person I am today. Thanks Dave for continually teaching me patience and making me a better person. I love you all!

Slocket Milk!

Brooke and Aspen absolutely love chocolate milk. Brooke usually brings me her cup and the gallon of milk (if it's not too heavy) when she wants some. Aspen will bring me her cup and the chocolate when she wants some. It is way too funny. The kicker is that Aspen has an overbite which makes her lisp. So instead of asking for chocolate milk, she asks for slocket! It kills me. I laugh so hard every time. Funny, funny girls.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Yeah! We finally got some snow! We had a big snowstorm on Saturday and it was great! I made a mad dash to the store to buy snow boots because the kids were dying to go outside and play in it! We had a good time throwing snowballs, making a snowman, making snow angels, and riding in our neighbor's dune buggy down the snowy street. The downside is that Dave did not get our Christmas lights put up. Hopefully he can do that on Friday! The snow has already melted quite a bit and our snowman fell over. The kids were awful sad about that. We love snow. We are ready for another big snowstorm!
