My feelings exactly!

I stole this from a friends blog, but I feel the same way. Here it is:

It's winter in Utah
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Utah
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Utah
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

I told you I was ready for spring!

Cade and Bryson

I have gotten two new nephews in the last month. They are both darling and both look like their dads.

First we have Cade. He is my sister Kim's baby. He was born on Dec. 30 and he weighed in at 4lbs. 11 oz. (He was 4 weeks early.) He's a doll obviously.

Second nephew is my brother Scott's baby, Bryson. He was born on Jan. 20 and weighed 6lbs. 7oz. I believe. He has a ton of hair which just makes him that much cuter.
Check out his chin! It looks just like his Aunt Karen's! ( His dad has it too!)

Welcome to our family!

Cold, January Days

Other than preschool, this is what we've been up to this month to keep ourselves busy INSIDE! (Anybody else ready for Spring?)
Playing card games. Snap, Go Fish, and Old Maid
Building and playing in fabulous big forts to accomodate 3 kids and a mom!
Eating take-out on my bed and watching Star Wars when Daddy works late.
Working on the cross-stitch I started 6 years ago! Maybe I'll finally finish it.
And I reread Breaking Dawn. I liked it better the second time through and I also picked up alot of things I missed the first time. I was too excited to find out what happened the first read through that I missed stuff.

What a boring month huh?

Day After Christmas

We headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Burrahm's house for a Christmas dinner, more presents, and games. We took our Guitar Hero and our Wii and had a great time jamming out with my family. Great singing everyone! We got to open more presents too. I love stretching Christmas out over three or more days. Makes the magic last longer.

Kids and the Camera: Christmas Eve Edition

Here we go again! The kids love taking pictures with our digital camera. I'm thinking that I need to get them one for their birthday. There are some interesting shots. Maybe we'll have a photographer in the family.

Is Santa Coming Tonight?

Ever since Christmas day, the kids have been asking, "Is Santa coming tonight?" We have to keep reminding them that he just came and he is on vacation now and he will come again in a year. And then they complain about it being too far away. I agree with them. It makes me so happy to see how excited they are about Christmas. Last year was fun, but this year they really got it and understood everything. I have so many wonderful Christmas memories and I hope that my kids will have them too. I can't wait until next Christmas either! Only 11 and a half more months!

Christmas Day 2008

What a fun day Christmas always is. I unfortunately was not feeling great. I had been up all night feeling so sick. But it still turned out great and the kids had a ball. They all came into our room very quietly. Then they said, "Did Santa come?" We had them all use the potty and I went downstairs to get pictures. They all came down together and the look on their faces was priceless. Santa was very nice to us this year. And thankfully, he didn't give us too many toys and lots of things we needed! After opening presents, we had sticky buns for breakfast, and we set up the toys for the kids. Then I started cooking Christmas dinner. The Monfredis stopped by for a bit and then later the Souths came over to share in our Christmas dinner. After a yummy dinner, we played Harry Potter Clue and some Guitar Hero World Tour. (Dave's present from Santa.) It was our first Christmas that we stayed home all day and oh, did we love it. The kids just played and played. And all day, we kept reminding the kids what Christmas is all about. Jesus Christ.
Waiting to go downstairs.
Dave got this, socks, and underwear! He was so excited to finally open a good present.
The kids rotated between the doll house, rose petal cottage, and Mickey's clubhouse all day! It was so cute.
