Projects

I really felt like doing some projects the other day and decided to do some stuff for the kids rooms. I started building the tent frame for Connor's bed tent and made these cute magnet boards to put above the girls' beds. It was so fun.

I also made lots of strawberry jam this week! If I had more freezer space, I would keep on going! This is a favorite in our house. We eat it on sandwiches, toast, homemade rolls, pancakes, and anything else. So good.

Ambulance Ride

I hope we didn't give you all a heart attack on Sunday when the ambulance came to our house. Brooke had a seizure. It happened because of a fever that spiked very quickly. Turns out she has an ear infection, pneumonia, and a UTI. Poor baby. But now she is on antibiotic and getting better. She hasn't run a fever all day today and she is finally eating some food. Thanks for all of your concern and prayers.

Potty Trained Connor!

I never would have guessed that it would only take a week and a half to potty train Connor, but it did! The first 5 days were horrible, but after that he just got it. We still have to remind him to go sometimes and with his pooping problems, he doesn't always do that in the toilet. But it is so nice to not have to change diapers... finally! After 4 years of changing diapers of 3 kids, we are finally diaper free!!!!!!! Good job Bubba!

Brooke said to me, "Mom, now that Connor is potty trained, you can have a baby!" Haha. What a jokester! I just finished with diapers, I'm in no hurry to get another one in them!

Funny Stories

Connor loves his new underwear! He picked out some Mickey Mouse ones that he wants to wear all the time. One of them has Mickey in his car on the bum. Connor put them on and got so upset that he started crying! I asked him what was wrong, and he said, "I can't see Mickey!" It was so cute.

The other day, I was sitting outside with my neighbors and we were watching the kids play. I glance over at Connor and he pulled his pants down. (Not his underwear.) I told him to pull them up and he said, "But I'm showing Kamrie my new underwear!" He is quite the character!

Potty Training Connor -- Day 7

Wow! Yesterday was an amazing day for Connor! He had only 3 accidents the entire day!!!! I was having him sit on the potty every 20-30 min. and he did great! One time he even sat on it himself to pee while I was upstairs! I think that he is really starting to get it! Of course, he loves getting M&Ms after going potty too! I am not quitting today! Maybe I'll want to again in a few days, we'll see! I'm so proud of my son! And more importantly, he's proud of himself! (Sorry that I haven't posted anything other than potty training in the last week, but that is all that is going on :)!)

Potty Training Connor -- Day 5

No, it is not getting much better. Just a little. He knows when he pees now, but usually he could care less if it is in his pants or not. Unlike the first day though, he has had some success. Yesterday morning he did great. Peed in the potty quite a few times. Today he did it once this morning and he held it until he was on the potty. But the rest of the day, he pees his pants like minutes after I let him get off the toilet!!! And he doesn't tell me! He walks around in wet pants! This boy is so frustrating! I want to quit so bad! I'm sick of cleaning out pee and poo pants! (By the way, if anyone knows where I can get a hold of the "Once Upon a Potty for Him" dvd, let me know. The library's copy is lost and I will do ANYTHING to help him learn! This blog is a good way for me to vent my frustrations!:))

Potty Training Connor -- Day 1

Man, I thought potty training Aspen was bad!!!! Since spring break is next week, I thought this would be the perfect week to potty train Connor. He is 4 and old enough to use the toilet. I think I am wrong about that! I honestly don't know if he has ANY clue as to when he has to pee or poo. We've been at it today for 7 hours. Putting him on the toilet every 10 minutes for at least 5 minutes. He has not had one success!!!!!! What is up with that? This is going to be an extremely long, tiring, "stinky" week! That is if I don't quit. Right now, changing diapers seems much easier!

Birthday Party #3

The final of the party trilogy, was a huge party for all the Grant birthdays. There are 8 within 3 weeks! So, the kids got to open presents with their cousin Jack and got to have birthday cake with 5 others! It was a fun party even if the present opening took a long time. It was way better than having 4 separate parties. The kids got some clothes and they were so excited by them! Probably because they get clothes for every holiday! It's pricey dressing three kids every season!!! Thanks for the fun party Grants!

Birthday Party #2

We had a very fun carnival party for all of the triplets' friends. (And our friends too.) We played carnival games, won prizes, ate hot dogs and cupcakes, and played on the swingset too. I think everyone had a great time. I know that my kids loved it! I was definitely tired after all of this and decided that next year will be a family party only!!! I love my kids though and we had a ball! Thanks to everyone for coming and for the great gifts!
