We finally planted a tree on our mound in the front yard. It doesn't look like a grave anymore! We planted a Redbud, not only because it is a beautiful tree, but it is also Oklahoma's state tree. Had to pay homage to my home state! We love it. The kids had fun helping to plant it and Brooke has to see it every morning and night to make sure it's okay. So fun!

Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain,
And the wavin' wheat can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain.
Oklahoma, ev'ry night my honey lamb and I
Sit alone and talk and watch a hawk makin' lazy circles in the sky.
We know we belong to the land
And the land we belong to is grand!
And when we say--Yeeow! A-yip-i-o-ee ay!
We're only sayin' You're doin' fine, Oklahoma! Oklahoma--O.K.
I had forgot you were from Oklahoma. I was supposed to be going to Lawton OK on business, but that trip got cancelled. I doubt i'm missing much, ever been to Lawton? It didn't seem terribly exciting... then again, is anything in Oklahoma exciting? JUST KIDDING
So is Dave still ignoring me? I have not heard from him in the blog or via email. I notice Karen did post, so she atleast acknowledges my existance. LOL.
We should have a BBQ with Kevin Jeffs sometime this summer. Perhaps when Rock Band is out for the Wii, we can have a BBQ and Rock Band Party... we have DDR for the gals too.
Bye for now Grants! Tell Dave I expect to hear from him sometime this year! LOL
Looks like it happened after a soccer game ; )
