We had a free night on July 5 with no play practice and Dave had his summer break, so we went camping at Payson Lakes. It was good time. Owen slept really good snuggled between me and Dave, but not me. I was awake too often making sure he was warm. It was quite cold! We had hot dogs for dinner, went down to the lake, fished a little, and had smores before bed. The next day we ate a yummy breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and grapes. Then we packed up and headed home. Owen was pretty good. He played in his pack and play and in the tent, but we still had to hold him quite a bit. It was still really fun. His first camping trip! Dave took the kids fishing the next day and Aspen caught a fish. As you can tell, she didn't like to hold it. Not even on the stringer. She's "scary" of it.
I didn't know how else to contact you :) But Do you think there is a difference between preschools and daycare/preschools? I need to find Andrew a program but they are all daycare/preschool like kids are there from 6-6 everyday! And they have half day programs but that still seems a bit long....thats it ms.piggi@gmail.com
And I love that picture of her holding the fish! That totally would have been me growing up
ASPEN: In the car ride home from vacation, I turned around and scared Aspen with a "Roar". She screamed, laughed, then said, "Momma, roar me again!" *****We called Grandma around 9:00pm to tell her Happy Birthday. Aspen said it really quietly. We told her to say it louder, but instead she said, "I just really want to go to bed." *****We were shopping for clothes for Uncle Cam's wedding and Aspen picked up a cute outfit. She ran up to Dave, showed it to him, and then said, "Love it!" *****She calls freckles, "pickles." It's so cute. I can't correct her.
CONNOR: We were in a bathroom in California and I jokingly asked Connor if he needed a diaper change. (He is potty trained!) He looks at me seriously and says, "I don't know. Let me check." And proceeds to pull down his pants. *****One night we were out late shopping. On our way home Connor fell asleep. I tried to wake him up to ask him what he wanted for dinner at MCDonald's and because bed time was only an hour away. He groggily responded, "But the sky is down!" ***** Playdough for Connor is pronounced, "potato." Again, can't correct it.
BROOKE: We were watching a video of Panda sneezing and she thought it was so funny. She said to me, "Connor and Aspen have to see this! They will crap up!" *****At the grocery store, the kids always fight over who gets to ride in the "car" part (only room for two). So yesterday I asked who would volunteer to sit in the basket part. Aspen willingly volunteered so I let her choose a treat. I was telling Dave about it before family prayer and Brooke said, "Next time you do that, I'll Bolunteer!" *****Brooke calls eyelashes, "eyeflashes." Too sweet.
