This is a day late, but Happy Anniversary to me and Dave! We have been married for 8 years now. It feels much longer than that though. And I mean that in a good way. I have loved the past 8 years with him and I am so excited to spend many more together. I feel so lucky that he wanted to marry me. Thanks for the wonderful life sweetheart. I love you.
Everyone is asking me what gender our baby is. Well, I can definitely tell you that it is................................................... either a BOYor a GIRL! We are not finding out. You'll all find out when the little peanut is born! But the ultrasound showed the baby looking perfectly healthy and that's all I care about.
On the Friday before Easter, we colored eggs. The kids had such a great time doing. They still pretend to color eggs all the time. On Saturday, we spent the day at the Grants having a huge egg hunt and then doing the famous egg roll down the driveway. I planted one raw egg in the bunch and lucky Kristin got it. That chicken is the prize she won. On Sunday, the kids found their baskets and began the candy feast. We went to church with both Grandparents and then had a wonderful Easter dinner with the Burrahms. It was a fun Easter. Dave and I still give each other Easter baskets. We are little kids at heart if not by age!
We had a couple more parties for the kiddos the first weekend in April. On Saturday we partied with the Burrahms and the Coles. We had yummy soup for dinner and cake and ice cream for dessert. The kids got some cute clothes and some more fun toys. I like the Light Bright they got. Those are so fun. On Sunday, we had a big fatty party with the Grants for all the Grant birthdays in the month of March and April. That means 8 people. It was a fun time with all the food, cake and ice cream, and of course presents. Fun times. Next year, no parties. I am not throwing any parties. We are going to celebrate in DISNEYLAND! I can't wait.
I thought that Dave was going to post about this, but unless I sit him at the computer and make him, it doesn't happen. I don't know much about the hike except that it was up some canyon in Springville, they saw deer, they all pottied on the hike (Brooke told me she pooped and covered it with a rock. She was so excited!), Connor fell in the mud at least once, and they had a lot of fun. Here's a pic of our cute little hikers.
ASPEN: In the car ride home from vacation, I turned around and scared Aspen with a "Roar". She screamed, laughed, then said, "Momma, roar me again!" *****We called Grandma around 9:00pm to tell her Happy Birthday. Aspen said it really quietly. We told her to say it louder, but instead she said, "I just really want to go to bed." *****We were shopping for clothes for Uncle Cam's wedding and Aspen picked up a cute outfit. She ran up to Dave, showed it to him, and then said, "Love it!" *****She calls freckles, "pickles." It's so cute. I can't correct her.
CONNOR: We were in a bathroom in California and I jokingly asked Connor if he needed a diaper change. (He is potty trained!) He looks at me seriously and says, "I don't know. Let me check." And proceeds to pull down his pants. *****One night we were out late shopping. On our way home Connor fell asleep. I tried to wake him up to ask him what he wanted for dinner at MCDonald's and because bed time was only an hour away. He groggily responded, "But the sky is down!" ***** Playdough for Connor is pronounced, "potato." Again, can't correct it.
BROOKE: We were watching a video of Panda sneezing and she thought it was so funny. She said to me, "Connor and Aspen have to see this! They will crap up!" *****At the grocery store, the kids always fight over who gets to ride in the "car" part (only room for two). So yesterday I asked who would volunteer to sit in the basket part. Aspen willingly volunteered so I let her choose a treat. I was telling Dave about it before family prayer and Brooke said, "Next time you do that, I'll Bolunteer!" *****Brooke calls eyelashes, "eyeflashes." Too sweet.
