Swimming!

I guess spring finally came and then jumped to summer! We had a day in the 90's yesterday, so the kids played outside in the water with our neighbors. They had a great time. We thought that we would be able to do it again today, but it is very overcast so it is not as warm. And there will not be another chance for a while. The whole next week is in the 60's again! Utah Weather!! Ugh!

Connor's trunks are way too big on him. I finally had to pin them in the back after he showed off his little booty numerous times. He had a great time going down the slide into the water. He just kept doing it over and over.

Aspen saw a couple of bees by the pool and ran over to me yelling "I'm scary of the bees." Telling ya, gotta make her a shirt that says, "I'm scary!" It's her favorite thing to say.

Brooke was the first one in the pool even though it was a little cold still. She's a brave one. After playing in the pool, she went to swing. She has learned to pump herself so she does it all the time. Anyway, her legs got sunburned from swinging.

It was a great day. Thanks Monfredis for the use of the bigger pool and thanks Bennetts for the use of the slide!

Karaoke

Do those two look very similar or what?

At the South's company party, we won a karaoke machine that hooks up through your DVD player and TV. It came with a kids songs DVD. We finally used it last Monday for FHE. The kids had a ball! Connor started cracking up every time that he talked or sang into the microphone. It was very weird, but very sweet to hear Aspen's voice so loud. She's usually so quiet. And it was just up Brooke's alley--being in the spotlight. She did great! They all are such good little singers.
Dave and I even tried it out. It was fun. Now we have to get some more DVDs with recent adult songs and then have a party!

Redbud

We finally planted a tree on our mound in the front yard. It doesn't look like a grave anymore! We planted a Redbud, not only because it is a beautiful tree, but it is also Oklahoma's state tree. Had to pay homage to my home state! We love it. The kids had fun helping to plant it and Brooke has to see it every morning and night to make sure it's okay. So fun!

Soccer!

Dave's soccer team did a great job on Saturday. They only won 1 game during the season, but ALMOST made it to the championship game in one day. They won their first round of tournament and lost 5-4 in their second game. The team they played has walloped them when they've played them before so that was a great game. Good job guys!

These pictures are from Friday's game.

Real Salt Lake vs. David Beckham

David Beckham

Dave and I went to the RSL game against the LA Galaxy on Saturday night. We had a great time and what a game it was! Two quick goals by RSL in the first half and then 2 classic Beckham shots. We were so excited to see him shoot. Of course we were disappointed though that RSL didn't pull out a win, but it was a great game, and a tie is better than a loss. (I was also very excited when Beckham took his shirt off!)

Beauty and the Beast

My sister Kimberly was in the musical Beauty and the Beast this past week. She played the part of Mrs. Potts. So we went to see the play on Thursday night and the kids were so excited! They brought their Belle doll and book. I'm surprised Brooke didn't wear her Belle dress!
Aspen was such a trooper she stayed awake for the entire thing even though she didn't have a nap earlier. And we even got a picture of her with Belle before she crashed.
When Belle came out in her gold dress, Brooke yelled really loud, "She's so beautiful!" Everyone around us laughed.
Connor even enjoyed himself. He kept asking where Dadgum (Lightning McQueen) was, but he was mesmerized. He crashed before it was over though.
The play was really good and I must say that my sister was the best! Good job Kim.
The kids waiting for the play to start.
My sister, Mrs. Potts.
The lovely Belle. The girls were so excited they couldn't even talk!

Why We Love Our Neigborhood

Here are the top 3 reasons why we love our neighborhood:

1. Great Neighbors

2. Lots of kids for our kids to play with.

3. Great Neighbors

We are never going to move unless all of our neighbors come with us! Here's a fun picture of Connor and Brooke with Bailey and Broc. (Don't they look like they're on a date? So cute.)
